Man Arrested After Climbing White House Fence
A man was arrested by the U.S. Secret Service on February 3 after climbing an outer fence on the South Grounds of the White House. The incident, captured on video by witness David Stanley, showed the man shouting “F*** it” before scaling the fence.
Rooftop snipers and K9 units responded quickly, and the man was taken into custody. His identity and whether he will face charges remain unknown. The Secret Service said it will review the security response.
This comes amid broader criticism of the agency following the July 13, 2024 assassination attempt on Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. An independent panel cited “deep flaws” and called for major reforms. Trump has since nominated Sean Curran, head of his personal detail, as the new Secret Service director.
