-Senate Votes 100-0 To End Aid to Azerbaijan As War Concerns Grow.

In a rare show of unity, the Senate voted 100 -0 to halt aid to Azerbaijan for two years over fears of an imminent invasion of Armenia.

The Armenian Protection Act, introduced by Senator Gary Peters (D-Mich.), passed unanimously.

It follows the forced exodus of over 100,000 Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh after a months-long Azerbaijani siege, which Armenia calls ethnic cleansing. Peters stressed that nations must face consequences for violating military aid conditions.

Meanwhile, internal Democratic tensions flared as former Speaker Nancy Pelosi criticized Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s support of a Republican-led funding resolution. She warned against what she called a “false choice” between a government shutdown or harmful funding.

Other Democrats, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Van Jones, echoed disappointment in Schumer’s leadership amid growing party unrest.
