Hayden Howard’s dog, Jackson, an English Mastiff, was found covered in what initially appeared to be insect bites after playing in the backyard. However, upon closer inspection, it was revealed that Jackson had been shot multiple times with a BB gun. He had over 70 bullet wounds on his body, including 27 pellets that had to be removed surgically. Despite the trauma, Jackson is recovering well. Police tracked the shots back to a neighbor’s home, where they discovered a BB gun, pellets, and drugs. The individual responsible faces serious legal consequences, and the hope is that they will never be allowed near animals again.
