Silverback gorilla teaches himself to walk upright on two legs!

Ambam, a silverback gorilla at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park in Kent, England, has captivated people worldwide with his ability to walk upright like a human. Standing six feet tall and weighing 34 stone, his unique stride has made him a viral sensation. Remarkably, Ambam taught himself this skill by mimicking his zookeepers, without any external training. His curiosity and intelligence likely played a key role in developing this behavior. While gorillas typically move on their knuckles, Ambam’s upright walking showcases their ability to learn and adapt. Beyond his internet fame, Ambam also serves as an ambassador for gorilla conservation efforts.
