Top Hegseth Aide Escorted Out of Pentagon in Leak Probe

Dan Caldwell, a senior adviser to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, was escorted from the Pentagon and placed on administrative leave amid a leak investigation.

Reuters reported that Caldwell is under scrutiny for an unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information.

The Defense Department, currently using polygraph tests to find internal leakers, has not detailed the nature of Caldwell’s alleged leak. Caldwell was named in a leaked chat as the Pentagon’s contact for a U.S. strike operation, prompting concerns.

While his ties to Hegseth are well known, no direct link to broader leak claims has been confirmed. The investigation remains ongoing.
