‘Treason’: Trump Orders Probes Into Former Staffers Who Led ‘Resistance’

President Donald Trump has revoked the security clearances of former CISA Director Chris Krebs and former DHS official Miles Taylor, ordering federal investigations into their past conduct. In a Presidential Memorandum, Trump directed the DOJ and other agencies to investigate Krebs for allegedly “weaponizing” his office against free speech during the 2020 election and COVID-19 response.

Krebs, fired by Trump in 2020, had declared the election “the most secure in American history,” a statement Trump called false and damaging. The memorandum also suspends security clearances for individuals linked to Krebs, including those at cybersecurity firm SentinelOne.

Miles Taylor, who admitted to authoring a 2018 anti-Trump op-ed under the alias “Anonymous,” is also under review. The directive targets his clearance and that of affiliates at the University of Pennsylvania, where he lectures. Trump accused Taylor of “treason.”

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard added that federal agencies are investigating vulnerabilities in electronic voting systems, citing evidence of potential vote manipulation.
