-Trump Admin Asks Supreme Court To Step In On DOGE Case.

The Trump administration filed an emergency appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court to allow the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) access to Social Security Administration data, arguing it’s essential to fight waste and fraud.

A lower court had blocked DOGE’s access, and the Fourth Circuit upheld that decision in a split ruling.

The administration claimed this interferes with executive authority and hinders IT modernization. Chief Justice John Roberts, who received the appeal, is expected to refer it to the full court. Judge Robert King stated DOGE’s data request violated SSA policies.

Elon Musk, who leads DOGE, said he’ll reduce his role, citing political backlash impacting Tesla. Despite criticism, Musk vowed to support Trump’s agenda to prevent government inefficiency from returning.
