Trump Sounds Off On Reporter: ‘Listen To Me. Stop Interrupting’

During a press conference on Tuesday, President Donald Trump became visibly frustrated with a reporter who repeatedly interrupted him while asking about his pardons for individuals involved in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. When the reporter attempted to question him about Vice President JD Vance’s comments, Trump snapped back, telling the reporter to stop interrupting. He expressed that the American public was tired of “one-sided, horrible people” in the media and emphasized that the people he pardoned had served time for their actions, while other criminals often faced no consequences. Trump also criticized media outlets for focusing on political opponents while ignoring violent crimes.

Earlier in the day, Trump issued pardons for over 1,500 individuals involved in the January 6 riots, many of whom had committed misdemeanors. This move aligned with his campaign promise and could have been partly in response to similar pardons granted by President Joe Biden.

Meanwhile, Trump’s cabinet is taking shape with Marco Rubio confirmed as Secretary of State. Rubio, a known China hawk and former presidential candidate, is expected to play a significant role in Trump’s foreign policy, including addressing issues in Ukraine, China, and Gaza. On his first day, Trump also began signing over 200 executive actions focusing on energy, border security, and policies aimed at curbing criminal cartels. He declared a national border emergency and called for military involvement in securing the southern border.
