Trump Spars With CNN’s Collins During NATO Summit

Kaitlan Collins, a CNN reporter often targeted by President Donald Trump, found herself at the center of attention once again during a press conference abroad on Wednesday. The moment began with Trump spotting Collins in the crowd and making a pointed remark before taking her question. “Oh, fake news CNN? Ayayai, here we go,” he said, drawing laughter from the European audience. He added, “You should really say how great our soldiers and warriors are,” to which Collins calmly responded, “I think everyone appreciates our soldiers and our warriors.”

Collins then pressed Trump on his reliance on Israeli intelligence regarding the recent U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites. While a preliminary U.S. intelligence assessment suggested the attacks may have only delayed Iran’s nuclear program by a few months, Israel claimed the sites were severely damaged. Trump dismissed the U.S. report as “inconclusive” and defended his position, stating that multiple sources — including Iran itself and a document shown to CNN — indicated the damage could be “very severe.” He criticized CNN’s reporting for omitting that detail, accusing the network of bias and misrepresenting the intelligence. Trump also stated that Israeli sources had personally inspected the aftermath and confirmed the sites were “obliterated,” adding, “We think everything nuclear is down there.
