In a closed-door meeting, Trump bluntly told Republicans, “Don’t f— around with Medicaid,” signaling resistance to deep cuts, despite the bill’s proposed restructuring of the program.

The legislation includes major tax cuts, including eliminating taxes on tips and overtime. Trump has threatened political consequences for GOP holdouts, singling out Rep. Thomas Massie as a “grandstander” who should be voted out.

While promoting the bill as a win for working Americans, Trump also warned against pushing too hard on limiting the SALT deduction and claimed the GOP is more unified than ever.
