Melania recalled the moment she shared the news with Donald, “He came home and I told him he’d be a daddy,” adding that his initial reaction was one of shock. “At first he needed to take it in. It was a real surprise. And then he was very happy.”

Donald, however, downplayed his surprise, explaining that while he expected they’d have children, he hadn’t anticipated it happening so quickly.
On March 20, 2006, after an eight-hour labor, Melania gave birth to their son at 5 a.m. Barron William Trump, born about ten days earlier than expected, weighed 8 ½ pounds and was 21 inches long.
