Federal Officials Condemn Violence Against ICE Officers
A recent surge in violence targeting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers has drawn sharp condemnation from top federal officials. Attorney General Bondi took to social media platform X to denounce the attacks, calling those involved “criminal mobs” and vowing that all participants would face serious federal charges.
Bondi expressed deep concern over the rise in threats and violence against ICE personnel across the country. She stressed that the Department of Justice would not stand by, reaffirming its commitment to enforcing the law. “The rule of law will prevail,” she declared, signaling zero tolerance for such actions.
In a video statement, Bondi reinforced the Trump administration’s stance against political violence, warning that physical attacks on federal officers would lead directly to prison time. Her remarks were clearly intended to deter further acts of aggression.
White House Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller also weighed in, referring to the attacks as a “campaign of terrorism.” He praised the federal response and emphasized the need to suppress what he described as a growing domestic threat. Later, Miller intensified his language, calling the violence “domestic terrorist sedition” and pledging that the government would deploy “all necessary resources” to restore order.
These statements come in response to several disturbing incidents, including the indictment of three women accused of stalking and livestreaming an ICE agent’s home, and a sniper attack at a Texas ICE facility, where three migrants were wounded and an anti-ICE message was found on a recovered bullet.
