Vance Praises Trump, National Security Team After Iran Strikes

Vice President JD Vance praised President Trump’s national security team following Saturday’s U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. Vance called the operation a testament to American military readiness and coordination. The strikes targeted Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, using 14 bunker-buster bombs dropped by B-2 stealth bombers and 30 Tomahawk missiles launched from submarines. The operation, named “Midnight Hammer,” involved over 125 aircraft and included complex decoy maneuvers.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio clarified the U.S. is not at war with Iran, emphasizing diplomacy remains the goal, and warning Tehran against retaliation. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Gen. Dan Caine briefed reporters, highlighting that while Iran’s nuclear infrastructure was devastated, no Iranian troops or civilians were targeted. Trump credited the operation’s success to “peace through strength.” The Pentagon detailed tactical deception efforts, including high-speed suppression weapons and stealth penetration of Iranian airspace, enabling precise strikes. The coordinated mission spanned 18 hours and achieved its strategic objective.
