Public Memorial for Charlie Kirk Set for Next Weekend in Arizona
Turning Point USA has announced a public memorial service honoring its late founder, Charlie Kirk, to be held next weekend at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m., with the memorial program beginning at 11:00 a.m. Organizers anticipate a large turnout to celebrate Kirk’s life and legacy.
Kirk, who passed away at age 31, founded Turning Point USA in 2012. What started as a small project in a garage in Illinois quickly grew into a national conservative movement that reached millions of young Americans. A memorial website describes him as a man of “faith, conviction, and leadership,” devoted to God, family, and country.
The tribute refers to Kirk as a mentor and leader, highlighting his influence on future generations. A verse from Matthew 25:23 — “Well done, good and faithful servant” — was included to emphasize the spiritual dimension of his legacy.
Erika Kirk, Charlie’s widow, spoke publicly for the first time since his passing, thanking first responders and officials for their support. She also expressed deep gratitude to former President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, noting Kirk’s close relationship with both.
In a moving moment, Erika shared a story about comforting their daughter, Gigi, who asked, “Where’s daddy?” She promised to continue Charlie’s mission through Turning Point USA, vowing that his vision will endure.
“He loved our children and me with all his heart,” she said. “I always knew it.” Her words offered a poignant glimpse into the personal side of a public figure mourned nationwide.
