Hunter Biden Drops Laptop-Related Lawsuit Due to Financial Struggles

Hunter Biden has asked a federal judge to dismiss his 2023 lawsuit against former Trump aide Garrett Ziegler, citing severe financial hardship. In a filing to a California federal court, Biden’s lawyers said his income has dropped significantly, he owes millions, and recent wildfires rendered his rental home unlivable, complicating both housing and employment prospects.

Biden had sued Ziegler and his company, Marco Polo, for allegedly violating laws by creating a searchable database containing 128,000 emails believed to be from Biden’s laptop. A judge had previously rejected Ziegler’s request to throw out the case.

Biden also dropped a separate lawsuit against IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, who claimed they faced obstruction during their investigation into him. The whistleblowers said the case was meant to intimidate and expressed satisfaction over its dismissal.

Biden revealed he’s struggling to sell artwork, his primary income source, and can’t borrow money. Despite plans for public speaking, those opportunities haven’t materialized. His legal team stated he must now focus on basic living needs over litigation.
