Inside Dana Perino’s New Jersey Beach Home

Dana Perino’s Coastal Retreat: A Blend of Work, Life, and Relaxation

Since joining Fox News in 2011 as a host on The Five, Dana Perino has balanced a high-profile career with her love for beachfront living. Early on, she joked about not affording a summer plan in New York. By 2017, thanks to her career and her husband Peter McMahon’s success as a medical device startup CEO, they owned a charming summer home in Bay Head, New Jersey—just over an hour from their Manhattan residence.

In 2020, during the pandemic, the couple upgraded to a larger Bay Head home with four bedrooms and an apartment above the garage. “We knew we’d need more space… or there was going to be a divorce,” Dana laughs. Since then, they’ve remodeled the kitchen and added decks to multiple floors.

Their home reflects a mix of maritime charm—blues, whites, sea glass—and canine love. Their Vizslas, Jasper (now late) and Percy, are celebrated through portraits, including one painted by George W. Bush. Percy’s blue eyes inspired Bush’s painting, and it now hangs alongside other treasured artworks in the sunroom.

Dana’s favorite spots include a cozy sunroom filled with oversized chairs and a “sanctuary” room lined with bookshelves, journals, and personal mementos overlooking the Atlantic. Outdoor spaces like the porch swing welcome friends and family, making the house lively year-round. Though Dana and Peter don’t have children together, their home is always full—and just how they like it.
