Tina Turner’s son tragically passes away

Ike Turner Jr., Son of Tina and Ike Turner, Dies at 67

Ike Turner Jr., the son of music icons Tina and Ike Turner, died on October 4, 2025, in a Los Angeles hospital at age 67—just one day after his birthday. His death was confirmed by cousin Jacqueline Bullock, who stated that he died from kidney failure following years of heart problems and a recent stroke in September.

His passing marks another tragedy for the Turner family. Tina Turner, his adoptive mother, died in 2023 at age 83 after battling kidney disease. In 2017, she received a kidney transplant from her husband, Erwin Bach, following years of high blood pressure-related damage.

Born in 1958 to Ike Turner Sr. and Lorraine Taylor, Ike Jr. was adopted and raised by Tina Turner alongside his brother Michael. He developed a deep love for music early on, shifting from drums to keyboard under Tina’s encouragement, and later became a sound engineer.

Following his parents’ split, Ike Jr. worked behind the scenes in music, including as Tina’s sound engineer—though their relationship eventually faded. In 2018, he revealed they hadn’t spoken in years. He later ran Bolic Sound Studios and contributed to the Grammy-winning Risin’ With the Blues in 2007.

The Turner family has endured significant loss: Craig Turner died in 2018, Ronnie Turner in 2022, and Ike Turner Sr. in 2007. Ike Jr.’s death closes yet another chapter.

Despite a difficult family history, Ike Turner Jr. forged a quiet but respected legacy in the music industry. He is remembered as a talented, resilient figure who navigated fame’s shadows with dedication and skill.
