Erika Kirk Shares Emotional Tribute After Husband Charlie Kirk’s Assassination
Erika Kirk, widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, has shared emotional moments following her husband’s assassination on September 10 at Utah Valley University. The 31-year-old was fatally shot while speaking at an event, leaving behind Erika and their two young children — a one-year-old son and a three-year-old daughter.
Two days later, the FBI arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson as the alleged shooter. Despite her grief, Erika appeared on her husband’s podcast on September 12, thanking first responders, Charlie’s team, and former President Donald Trump for their support.
On Instagram, Erika posted powerful images and videos, including moments at Charlie’s open casket. In one, she bowed her head, kissed his hands, and whispered “I love you” through tears. Other clips showed the casket being placed in a hearse as an American flag waved, and Erika visibly emotional while boarding Air Force Two for the journey back to Phoenix.
She was accompanied by Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance, who offered comfort as military personnel honored Kirk’s body.
In her Instagram caption, Erika expressed her grief and faith: “The world is evil. But our Savior… He is so good.” She promised to carry on her husband’s mission, stating his work and legacy would live on. “You will never forget my husband,” she wrote, concluding with a biblical tribute: “Well done my good and faithful servant.”
