President Trump Undergoes Routine Physical, Health Reported as Excellent
On October 10, 2025, President Donald Trump, aged 79, completed a routine physical exam at Walter Reed Medical Center, including advanced cardiovascular tests and lab work. Despite earlier claims that his annual check-up was complete, this visit was part of ongoing health maintenance. White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella described Trump’s lab results as “exceptional,” noting his cardiac age is estimated to be 14 years younger than his actual age.
Trump also received updated flu and COVID-19 vaccinations during the visit. Dr. Barbabella affirmed that the president remains in excellent overall health, with strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical performance, allowing him to maintain a demanding daily schedule without restrictions.
Earlier this year, Trump was declared “fully fit” to serve. In July, he received treatment for chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a common condition in older adults, after experiencing swelling in his lower legs. Bruising on his hand, linked to frequent handshakes and aspirin use, has not affected his duties.
At 79, Trump remains the oldest U.S. president in history but continues to carry out his responsibilities actively and without limitation.
