Ivana Pino Arellano, known as “La Rancherita de Chanco,” tragically died in a fatal car accident on the M-80 road near Pelluhe, Chile, just one day after celebrating her 32nd birthday. Arellano was pronounced dead at the scene, while her companion suffered serious injuries when their vehicle flipped over amid rainy conditions.
Photographs of the crash show the badly damaged car resting on its side, partially covered by an orange sheet. A beloved country singer and rising star, Ivana was admired for blending classic Latin American sounds with modern influences. She was also a devoted mother of four.
The Municipality of Chanco confirmed her passing, stating, “Ivana personified the spirit of public service with passion and love.” They added, “Your departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but your legacy will endure through the course of time.”
Her funeral was held on June 17 at Curanipe Parish Cemetery, attended by family, friends, and fans. The municipality expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, “Thank you, Ivana, for providing us with days filled with light and happiness.”
