Euclid Teen Sentenced to Life for Fatal Shooting After Football Game
CLEVELAND, Ohio – A 16-year-old boy, Darien Harris, was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 20 years for a shooting that killed one teen and injured four others. Harris, who was 15 at the time of the incident on August 30, 2024, fired into a group of juveniles outside the Euclid Fire Station near E. 222nd Street and Tracy Avenue.
Sincere Rowdy, 17, died from his injuries. The four other victims—a 15-year-old, two 16-year-olds, and a 17-year-old—were treated at a local hospital.
Harris pleaded guilty on October 20 to one count of murder and one count of felonious assault and was immediately sentenced. He had been arrested on August 31, 2024, and the case was moved from juvenile court, with a grand jury indictment returned on April 15.
Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley condemned the shooting, emphasizing the ongoing impact of youth gun violence on families and communities.
