Terry Bradshaw Reveals Cancer Battle, Now Cancer-Free
Football legend and four-time Super Bowl champion Terry Bradshaw has revealed that he was diagnosed with two types of cancer over the past year. The Hall of Famer, known for his charisma both on the field and as a longtime sports commentator, shared the emotional news publicly, explaining that he had battled bladder cancer as well as Merkel cell carcinoma — a rare and aggressive form of skin cancer.
Bradshaw opened up about his health during a broadcast, aiming to clarify recent public concerns about his appearance and energy levels. “People have been asking what’s wrong with me,” Bradshaw said. “I just want to let everyone know what I’ve been going through.”
The 75-year-old NFL icon underwent treatment for both cancers — first tackling bladder cancer, followed by surgery and treatment for Merkel cell carcinoma, which had appeared on his neck and shoulder. Fortunately, Bradshaw says he is now cancer-free and feeling much better.
The announcement was met with an outpouring of love and support from fans, fellow athletes, and colleagues across the sports world. Many praised his courage and transparency, especially in using his platform to raise awareness about lesser-known health issues affecting older adults, particularly men.
Bradshaw remains upbeat and grateful, noting the importance of faith, family, and medical care throughout his journey. “I’m not 100%, but I’m just thankful to be here,” he said, smiling.
As he continues to heal and return to normal life, Bradshaw’s strength and openness serve as an inspiration to many.
We join countless others in wishing Terry continued health, strength, and healing in the months ahead.
