Man Arrested in Sacramento ABC 10 Shooting Linked to Anti-Trump Motive
SACRAMENTO, CA — Federal agents have arrested 64-year-old Anibal Hernandez-Santana in connection with a drive-by shooting at ABC 10’s Sacramento building on September 19. After his initial arrest and posting $200,000 bail, the FBI took him back into custody on federal charges.
Disturbing Evidence Found
Inside Hernandez-Santana’s vehicle, authorities discovered a handwritten note targeting key figures from former President Trump’s administration, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino. The note accused them of “hiding Epstein & ignoring red flags” and ominously warned, “They’re next.”
Anti-Trump Online Activity
Investigators also uncovered a trail of anti-Trump posts from Hernandez-Santana, including a recent message wishing harm on Trump and expressing readiness to “fight like hell” against the former administration. His attorney claims the suspect is being unfairly targeted due to his political views.
Federal Officials Respond
Kash Patel confirmed Hernandez-Santana remains in federal custody, emphasizing that targeted violence will be prosecuted vigorously.
Context of Tensions
The shooting followed protests at ABC 10 sparked by the suspension of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, who made controversial remarks connecting the accused assassin of conservative activist Charlie Kirk to Trump supporters.
Remembering Charlie Kirk
Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s widow, recently shared poignant memories at his memorial, describing his peaceful final moments and offering comfort to mourners.
