Fatal Traffic Accident in San Pedro de Macorís
Date & Location: March 12, 2025, Eastern Highway, kilometer 10, Cumayasa area.
A tragic accident claimed the life of Ruth Delania Sosa Marte, a resident of Barrio Lindo, San Pedro de Macorís. She was traveling in a gray Mazda Demio driven by Angela Merici Ubiera Sosa, accompanied by Maribel Sosa Polanco. Following the collision, Ruth Sosa died at the scene, while the two other passengers were injured and taken to Villa Hermosa Hospital in La Romana for treatment.
Her body was handled by forensic doctor Dr. Benito Kelly, and the vehicle was taken to Digesett Headquarters for investigation. No state infrastructure or private property was damaged. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
